Mikaela a 13 year old sweet little girl from the neighborhood she is fighting for her life down in the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, PA, waiting for a life saving liver and kidney transplant. Mikaela was diagnosed with Autosomal Recessive Polycystic Kidney Disease (ARPKD) and Congenital Hepatic Fibrosis (CHF). Mikaela and her mom Heather have been away from Vermont since November, while Dad and big brother Luke are home (attending work and school).
An Amazing fundraising event has been organized with a contest and chance to win an Ibis Mojo SL mountain bike. Ibis Cycles, Fox, SRAM, Earls, Skirack, and iRide have donated the parts and service to make this happen. The bike is worth $5K and the winner will be able to pick the size and color. The drawing is April 29th.
The proceeds from this contest will contribute to the estimated $150,000 transplant related expenses the Sienkiewicz family will incur.
